How Your Information Is Managed

A plain-language summary of how Faydoh handles your data day to day. For the full legal detail, see the complete policy below.

What we collect and why

When you use Faydoh, we may collect identification information, contact details, Account information, estate and inheritance information (such as details about spouses, children, heirs, dependants, assets, liabilities, gifts, beneficiaries, and your Wasiya, Hiba, or Waqf instructions), transaction information, and technical information about how you use the platform.

This information is used to create and manage your Account, run inheritance calculations, generate estate-planning documents, process payments, provide support, verify transactions, prevent fraud, maintain security, and improve the Service — and to meet our legal and regulatory obligations.

How your payments are handled

When you make a payment, an independent payment provider processes the transaction. Faydoh does not ordinarily receive or store your complete card number.

Who we share information with

We may share information with the people and providers who help us run the Service — payment processors, hosting and cloud providers, technology and communications providers, analytics providers, and professional or legal advisers — as well as regulators or authorities where the law requires it. We do not sell your personal data merely as a means of generating revenue. Where third parties handle your data on our behalf, we put contractual, confidentiality, and security safeguards in place.

If you provide information about someone else — a family member, heir, or beneficiary — you’re responsible for making sure you’re authorised to share it, and for letting them know their data has been provided to us.

How long we keep your data

We keep personal data only as long as reasonably necessary — to provide the Service, keep required records, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent fraud, or defend legal claims. Once data is no longer needed for these purposes, we take reasonable steps to delete, anonymise, or otherwise dispose of it in line with applicable law.

If you request deletion of your Account, this may not immediately erase information we’re required or permitted by law to keep, and lawfully anonymised information may still be retained for legitimate business purposes.

How we protect your data

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures — including access controls, authentication, encryption where appropriate, monitoring, and secure infrastructure — to protect your data against unauthorised access, loss, or misuse. No electronic system can be guaranteed completely secure, but we take this seriously.

Verifying results and documents

Tools like our inheritance calculator produce results based on the information you provide and our programmed methodology — they’re estimates, not final legal determinations. You’re responsible for reviewing any generated document before signing, witnessing, or acting on it, and we recommend independent professional advice for anything with real legal, financial, or estate-planning consequences.

Your rights, in short

Subject to applicable law, you can:

  • Access — request the personal data we hold about you.
  • Correct — ask us to fix inaccurate information.
  • Delete — request that your data be removed, subject to our legal retention obligations.
  • Restrict or object — to certain kinds of processing.
  • Withdraw consent — where processing is based on consent, subject to legal limitations.
  • Port — request your data in a portable format, where legally applicable.
  • Complain — to the relevant data protection regulatory authority if you’re not satisfied with how we’ve handled a concern.

To exercise any of these, contact privacy@faydoh.com, ideally with your full name, Account identifier, the nature of your request, and enough information for us to identify the relevant data and verify your identity.
